STRESSED IS DESSERTS SPELT BACKWARDS!
Not believe? Try it yourself!
It was retailed at the price of RM5.30, 5 different type of cakes included. Design by YAMAGUCHI MAKOTO, the Chairperson of Origami House. Thank you for designing these for us, if I ever meet you in real life I must get your autograph for life!!
Origami (折り紙?, from ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper" (kami changes to gami due to rendaku)) is the artof paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture. In modern usage, the word "origami" is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin. The goal is to transform a flat sheet square of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques.

I was kinda out focus these days, so I went to shopping and see this I knew I had to get this. I am not a big fan of origami (paper folding) and bad at it actually!
The first one I fold would be shortcake. I love how they focus on the littlest details!
I'm glad that it included an instruction on both English and Japanese language, the instructions were clear and easy to understand.
First of all, fold 1/4.
Fold the edge down along the existing crease line.
Fold corner to corner. Open and squash.
Fold the flap up and edge to the crease line. Open top layer and rise it so it become 3D.
Continue working on "whip cream". Fold in half and fold along printed line to make a zik zak form.
For "strawberry", fold half.
Fold corner to the center and fold corner inside. It's really simple and cute!
OMG so cute!!
Lastly, assembly all parts together. I use eyelash glue instead of normal glue because I couldn't find my glue stick. (don't judge the lazy me LOL)
Peel the plates and put the cakes on top.
It's all done. Each cake can fold up to 3 pieces, imagine if you buy 3 sets it could make a whole cake!
And here is 4 sets of cakes but I will just make it a big skip!
CHOCOLATE CAKE, OMG even the choco stick decoration!
MONT BLANE, walnut is my least favorite but look at the paper under the cake! Just like those from bakery's right?!
PETIT CAKE, the marron have same way as folding the strawberry!
CHEESE CAKE, that mint on top is killing!
I already started to love origami, it gives me a great way to kill time and to peace myself when sometimes I was so stressful. In which this also makes a great gift and if you have child or younger brothers or sisters, this could be a fun activity to play at home. My favorite would definitely be shortcake!
What do you think?

This is a very long post, I warned you. *Tried so hard to take an Instagram feel photo.* #nofilter #happy Preparations:
First practice on paper. Took me a few times to get the shape right. Tried to make different swirls. I love that meringue shape. Clean the pipping after 5 or more pipes. This could avoid messing the shape of whip cream. Useful tip: Use a tube squeezer to push the very last cream out of the tube! This whipped cream smells fantastic! Just like vanilla with a hint of lemongrass. Adding chocolate syrup. And more chocolate. Add decorations. I choose pink accessories this time. Sprinkle some rainbow chocolate rice. All over on the case. Final touch, I add some decorations to cover any blank space. DONE! Need to air dry for 48 hours before wearing them. Avoid direct sunlight. This jelly donut looks so cute! I also made a few cases back then. This is the first one I tried to make in October 2016 which posted on my Instragram. I thought it was a ribbon so they end up sticking upside down. Sorry rabbit ear! Melting chocolate with rainbow chocolate rice. My second case. I have no idea what theme is this. But I do love this stars and glitters, and the dripping effect. Piece of cake from Daiso, it was an eraser. Same goes to this soft ice cream. I made this for my sister when she decided to go to Halloween party. But end up she said it was to bulky to carry so I just make this as a decoration in my room during Halloween. Now I started to regret I should have buy the Daiso's Halloween Candle. (I LOVE CANDLE❤) Skull on the plate with lots of whipped cream. This skull was from one of my old key chain, it is pirate themed. I separate all the parts to reuse them. Fork and spoon from my miniature tableware series once I bought it to use it on photography. A cup of tea with sugar-skull, and more donuts. My old vintage earring, they were broken few years ago but I still kept them. If you know where to buy something similar please let me know. My third case. This case was glitter-overload. I used half bottle of my art glitter. Sunny side up, right away! Club bread! More breads! I think this is a great hobby for me because I really enjoy on deciding theme, collecting accessories, sketch to make the idea, and finally crafting final projects.
I will get my next phone case up when my orders from web arrive! Till then! Previously my only experience of water-coloring was in my elementary school. Today will be my second day of learning watercolor painting (on internet). I wish to take classes but had no chance so I just YouTube searching and this painting was learned from EkaterinaSmirnova. Her tutorial is so easy to follow, you can find the tutorial from here. Feather and Popsicle tutorials from ART TV by Fantasvale. Her tutorials are really easy to understand. Late night practicing on painting feathers and ice-creams. Watercolor can truly bring out the effect of being soft and fluffy, I wonder why I never like it before. One of my makeup bag just turned into an artist bag. I love to collect stationary, especially stamps, pens and inks! I bought this solid watercolor from Daiso, it costs RM5.30. I'm glad I bought this, it works great for a beginner. Extendable cup. Also from Daiso, RM5.30. Great for savingplace so I can place inside my bag. Now starts painting. I used 20 minutes to finished this painting. I decided to write "Sakura". Now for the comparison. I guess this is a 3/5 for myself. Need more practice.
Til next time! |
